McSTREAMY.COM (05/06/2015) – A social website created a year ago for mothers under the domain name MomMeetMom.com is changing to HelloMamas.com to coincide and recognize its global expansion. The changes to the social networking site that connects local, like-minded moms takes effect in time for Mother’s Day 2015.
The site, which launched in the U.S. and Canada last year, has maintained rapid growth and an increased demand from international moms, specifically in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. The evolution to Hello Mamas allows the brand to connect with a broader audience of moms and anticipates the amount of users will double with this extensive expansion.

“So many moms are craving a social life and a channel to connect with other like-minded local moms, but taking steps to do so can be awkward,” says Meg Gerritson, co-founder of Hello Mamas.
“We’re thrilled to have helped solve this problem for moms in the U.S. and Canada and have been busy working behind the scenes to connect moms across the globe,” Gerritson said.
Created by three moms, the platform helps local moms connect with others whose children, schedules, parenting styles and personalities are most alike.
Following a model similar to high-profile dating sites, Hello Mamas’ proprietary geo-mapping and personality matching technology takes the guesswork and anxiety out of finding new mom friends.
The site was designed to provide a solution to the many challenges moms face including trying to stay social as a busy parent, maintaining work-life balance and raising kids as a single parent.
The company launched in the U.S. in January 2014 and quickly garnered more than 50,000 users across all 50 states.
In addition to its recent Canadian expansion, the site regularly adds features such as MomFinder a search function that allows users to browse based on search queries and Socials, an event-planning feature. The site continues to rapidly expand and adapt based on demand and user feedback.
