McStreamy.com – Rock and Roll pioneer Fats Domino died at 89 on October 24, 2017. By 1953, Fats had a million seller with a song called “The Fat Man”, released in 1949. His music crossed over into mainstream, pop radio in 1955, when his version of “Ain’t That A Shame”made it to the Top Ten. Other big, rock and roll records that followed included “Blueberry Hill”, Valley Of Tears”, “It’s You I Love”, “Whole Lotta Loving”, “I Want To Walk You Home”, “Walking To New Orleans”, “My Girl Josephine”, and other hits, until the British Invasion of recording acts started to overtake the charts in 1964. Fats Domino was one of the first musicians to be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. He also received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987, a National Media of Arts Award in 1998, and other recognition during his career.
