McSTREAMY.COM (04/08/2017) – David Letterman told the audience at the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony that he was happy to have a reason to get out of the house and enjoy the magic of live music again. Letterman stepped in to represent Neil Young, who was unable to induct Pearl Jam, because “Neil couldn’t stay up that late, or, swallowed a harmonica”. He wasn’t sure, which, Letterman quipped. Others who were inducted at the event April 7, 2017, were ELO, Journey, Yes, Joan Baez, and rapper Tupac Shakur, who was inducted posthumously. Nile Rodgers received recognition for Musical Excellence for his creative contributions over several decades. It was a star studded induction ceremony celebration with presentations, acceptance speeches, and performances, that will be presented on HBO, April 29, 2017. – McStreamy Newsbriefs
