McStreamy.com – The White House Task Force to handle the Coronavirus Outbreak in the United States, under the direction of Vice President Mike Pence, held a news conference, March 2, 2020, attended by several members of the newly named group. Although VP Pence said the Coronavirus still holds low risk for residents of the United States at this point, he noted there is already an increase in known cases of U.S. Citizens with the virus that has resulted in 6 deaths in Washington State.
Some of the members of the task force are, photo-left to right, Dr. Anthony Fauci, head of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases; Deborah Birx, Ambassador at Large and the United States Global AIDS Coordinator; Vice Pres. Pence; Seema Verma, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator; and Alex Azar, an American attorney, politician, pharmaceutical lobbyist, and former drug company executive who serves as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services in the Trump Administration.
At this writing, NBC News has confirmed more than 100 cases have been identified in the U.S (Washinton State, Oregon, California, Utah, Arizona, Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin, Illinois, New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Florida), and the six deaths in Washington State.
