McSTREAMY.COM (01/11/2016) – The movie with all of the buzz since the awards show, “The Revenant”, was declared Best Motion Picture Drama according to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and it’s star, Leonardo DiCaprio was named Best Actor In A Drama Motion Picture, while the Cecil B. DeMille Award went to Denzel Washington.

These were just three of the winners announced on the Golden Globes Award television show on NBC-TV, Sunday night, January 10, 2016. Other winners, included “The Martian” for Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical, “Mr. Robot” for Best TV Series – Drama, and “Mozart In The Jungle” for Best TV Series – Comedy

There were also several notable highlights not directly connected to the winners. Some of them involved presenters doing so with humor, among them were Jim Carrey, humorously “bragging” that he has two Golden Globe Awards, and appreciates that, but, he would probably feel better if he had three (hint, hint). The comedic delivery was obviously enjoyed by the live audience of industry professionals.

Another fun time involved the presenter pairing of “Trainwreck” star, Amy Schumer, and “Joy” star, Jennifer Lawrence. The two, who were both nominated in the comedy movie category. Their hilarious routine on stage at the Golden Globes was funny, indeed. (We wonder if they still get along so well after Jennifer Lawrence won the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy award, and Schumer did not.)

Jennifer Lawrence beat out some bigger than life talents in the movie comedy actress category. The other nominees were Lily Tomlin in “Grandma”, Melissa McCarthy in “Spy”, Maggie Smith in “The Lady In The Van”, and,  Amy Schumer in “Trainwreck”.
