McStreamy News – The latest word about when MSNBC becomes MSNOW is that the date of changeover is now November 15, 2025, according to promotional materials designed to spread the word. The name change is taking place for several reasons as the result of changes involving the NBC lineup of brands and ownership thereof resulting from a reorganization of the ownership and management structure resulting from the split of the separate entitiesat once were NBC Universal.
Internal publicity claims if you were an MSNBC viewer before, you can easily find the new broadcasts on the new MSNOW, because they are expected to show up on the same channels as MSNBC used to be on prior to November 15th. So, there’s little necessary for you to do if you wish to continue viewership of the content. There may be minor changes in the on-air personnel, but, for the most part, many of the current MSNBC anchors, reporters, commentators, correspondents and guests will show up on your television and monitor screens as before the name change.
Ultimately, MSNOW has the same mission as MSNBC did, but the name has been changed to MSNOW to separate it from NBC News in the eyes and ears of the audience, advertisers, sponsors, staffers and owners. When all is said and done, the MSNOW brand will be under the VERSANT Media umbrella, not NBC. The other change is that the multi-color peacock tail feather image will not be part of the new logo for MSNOW, as a further visible representation of disassociation from NBC.
