McStreamy News – “Something in the Water”, a Lawrence (the band) song from an album of tunes released under the 2025 album title called “Family Business” has received special attention by being nominated as a possible choice for upcoming 2026 Grammy Awards recognition. The album title is likely familiar to a lot of Lawrence fans as it has also been the banner under which the band has been touring in the United States and throughout many parts of the world as part of “The Family Business Tour”. The Lawrence singers and musicians have gained even more popularity than they had before this year as a result of being exposed on concert stages to applause and appreciation since the album was released.
One of the songs created by the Lawrence (the band) team, “Something in the Water” has received a 2026 Grammy nomination in the Production, Engineering, Composition and Arrangement category for Best Arrangement, Instrument or Vocal. Arrangers of the song are listed as Clyde Lawrence, his sister, Gracie Lawrence, and their younger brother, Linus Lawrence. The three are part of the amazing Lawrence family of the Family Business album and national and world live performance tour that excited fans have been enjoying in many major cities around the world.
The Lawrence band that has been causing the excitement for highly charged fans at performance concerts worldwide largely consists of former fellow students and longtime musician friends of band leader and founder, Clyde Lawrence. Gracie Lawrence and brother Clyde Lawrence continually provide the force that drives the performances of the Family Business onstage and the sibling duo composes and writes the lyrics of many of the original songs performed by the Lawrence band, many of them as a songwriting unit. Lawrence (the band) is a New York City based band playing mostly soul-pop style music with hints of funk, R&B, and rock and roll.
The 2026 Grammy Awards ceremony is set to take place on February 1, 2026, live at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, broadcast via CBS and Paramount Plus.
