McStreamy News – The much heralded name change of cable television’s MSNBC to MSNOW was allegedly scheduled to take place October 6, 2025. However, it seems, the name switch may or may not take place exactly as planned. There may be some mix ups along the way while staffers and technicians make the switch internally, etc. Oh, by the way, the domain name might not have been secured before the announcement was made, and the confusion grows. So, at this point, it’s hard to nail down where the debut of the MSNBC to MSNOW change story goes next. Stay tuned for more. UPDATED 10/2/2025.
The change to MSNOW is part of a rearrangement of the channel’s staff, ownership, offices, studios and location of some originating reporter beats, desks or sites. The former MSNBC to MSNOW switch is being facilitated due to an internal realignment that results in parent company, Comcast, spinning off the bulk of its cable operations into a new company called Versant. There may be some changes in on-air anchors and staff during the interim until the dust of reorganization clears away and settles down. The type of coverage by the new MSNOW is expected to be similar to past presentations, according to publicity for the newly titled channel.

IN THE MEANTIME plans are still in the works (as of October 2, 2025) for the big MSNBC LIVE 25 celebration scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2025. Many of the MSNBC hosts are expected to be on duty in action, such as Joe Scarborough and Mika Brezinski from Morning Joe, Nicolle Wallace from Dateline White House and The Best People, as well as Rachel Maddow, Jen Psaki, Lawrence O’Donnell, Chris Hayes, Katy Tur, etc. Tickets for the daytime and evening sessions are available at https://www.ticketmaster.com/explore/msnbclive-25.
Part of the day long, festive occasion October 11, 2025, will include in-depth conversations about the state of the United States of America democracy. The daylong ticketed, morning and evening sessions event will take place at the Hammerstein Ballroom, Manhattan Center, New York City, NY. – McStreamy News, McStreamy.com.
