McStreamy News – The much heralded name change of cable television’s MSNBC to MSNOW is now scheduled to take place October 6, 2025. The name switch may or may not take place exactly as planned. There may be some mix ups along the way while staffers and technicians make the switch internally. There is some indication, some changes will likely be undertaken slowly until all is finally in place internally, possibly as late as October 20th or so.
The change to MSNOW is part of a rearrangement of the channel’s staff, ownership, offices, studios and location of some originating reporter beats, desks or sites. The former MSNBC to MSNOW switch is being facilitated due to an internal realignment that results in parent company, Comcast, spinning off the bulk of its cable operations into a new company called Versant. There may be some changes in on-air anchors and staff during the interim until the dust of reorganization clears away and settles down. The type of coverage by the new MSNOW is expected to be similar to past presentations, according to publicity for the newly titled channel. – McStreamy.com.
