Andrea Mitchell’s midday “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on MSNBC will no longer be hosted by the veteran anchor after 17 years. However, she will be the official NBC chief Washington and Foreign Affairs correspondent. As such she may show up from time to time on screen as a reporter or commentator on news accounts of current stories during programs anchored by other highly qualified hosts.
The long time NBC professional journalist covered every political convention since 1972 and presidential campaigns since 1980.
