McSTREAMY.COM – Arizona U.S. Senator John McCain, who passed away at 81, following a battle with brain cancer diagnosed late in life, was a National Treasure. McCain was well respected by his colleagues in Washington D.C. and around the world. He sometimes was referred to as the maverick of the senate during his long tenure, as well as being tenacious, both of which, were often, necessary, important stands for the good of the country. During the course of his political career the Republican Party nominated McCain to run for President of the United States. He was so admired by voters and politicians alike that it was sometimes difficult to make decisions on who to support at the ballot box and on issues he supported or found unsupportable. He will be remembered for the warmth of his smile, his heroism during the military career that catapulted him into the political arena afterward, and for being endeared to many who were looking for him to do the correct thing, even if it wasn’t always in the mainstream of party thinking. – McStreamy NewsBriefs
